Love, in the broader culture and society, often gets associated with madness, and has since the beginning of time. Writer-director Paul Dalio, emerging off the strength of a couple of shorts (Heartless and The Order), tackles this notion head-on in Touched With Fire, a drama about a pair of bipolar patients (Katie Holmes and Luke Kirby) in a psychiatric hospital who meet and begin a romance that, by tapping into both the beauty and dark side of their conditions, threatens their budding relationship and their ability to maintain their place in the world.
