“I took 10 months off of touring, which is the longest break I’ve ever taken,” says comedian Tommy Johnagin, who will do a one-off show Wednesday at Go Bananas. Most of his time was taken up writing and shooting a pilot for CBS, which unfortunately wasn’t picked up. He doesn’t feel he got rusty at stand-up, though. “As soon as we finished shooting, I hit the notebook pretty hard and put in actual work-day hours writing stand-up.” He’s performing in part because he just sold another pilot. “I’m just writing that one,” he notes. “I’m not starring in it.”
