Camp Washington Chili 3005 Colerain Ave., Cincinnati Named one of the “10 Best Restaurants in Cincinnati” by USA Today, there’s no question as to why Camp Washington Chili has been operating since 1940. It is good eats! Despite having ‘chili’ in the name, this establishment offers many chili-free options, including a full breakfast menu plus burgers, sandwiches, salads and even beer. Mountain Dew is offering you a free drink on Thursday, March 28 at select restaurants and food trucks across Cincinnati.

The Pepsi beverage brand started the promotion after news broke that both of Cincinnati’s beloved chili institutions, Skyline Chili and Gold Star Chili, are switching from Pepsi to Coke products.

Gold Star made the switch to Coke products last week, and Skyline announced last Monday that it would be rolling out Coke products in April — much to the dismay of the Cincinnatians who have paired their Cincinnati chili orders with fountain Mountain Dew from the chains for years. One Skyline-with-Mountain-Dew fan even started a petition to stop the switch.

So, to ensure fans that Mountain Dew isn’t going anywhere, the brand is letting Cincinnati chili fans have a free drink on them. To kickstart the promotion, from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 28, several Cincinnati eateries will give diners a free Mountain Dew with the purchase of their chili special. These are:

  • Camp Washington Chili (With purchase of a chili way; Dine-in only; one per guest while supplies last)
  • Moerlein Lager House (With purchase of Moerlein Lager House Zincy Style Bratwurst at the Mountain Dew booth)
  • Price Hill Chili (With purchase of 3-, 4- or 5-Way; Dine-in only)
  • GLK Hot Dog Trucks (see locations here)

And while the timing with the Cincinnati Reds’ Opening Day is the perfect chance to enjoy this Queen City staple, if you can’t get out to redeem this offer Thursday, don’t worry. Mountain Dew will soon announce how you can get a free drink — even if you don’t live in Cincinnati — starting April 1 (We hope that’s no joke).

See the map of free Mountain Dew locations here.
