You'll just have to enjoy a 3-Way and Mountain Dew in your own home from now on.

Is nothing sacred anymore? If you want to enjoy a 3-Way and Mountain Dew, you’ll have to do it in your own home from now on.

Skyline Chili announced Monday that it will be rolling out Coke products at its restaurants starting in April.

“Power Couple Alert!” the local chain wrote on its social media. “We’re thrilled to announce that we have officially partnered with Coca-Cola! Soon you’ll be able to enjoy your favorite Coke products with your Skyline Coneys and Ways starting this April!”

While typically many could get behind a Coke-Pepsi switcheroo, Cincinnatians have been perfectly calibrating their Skyline orders to the current Pepsi offerings for too long. We’re the Midwest, dammit, and we’re resistant to change.

With Pepsi getting the boot, that means Mountain Dew and Diet Mountain Dew are now off the table. Instead of Mountain Dew, customers can now enjoy Mello Yello, or as one Facebook user, Derek, on Skyline’s post called it, “the skid mark of citrus flavored pop.”

Others expressed their sadness at the end of Mountain Dew's chili reign. Another Facebook user, Josh, wrote, "Mountain dew is the only pairing. I remember when big boy went to Pepsi and 2 years later switched back. Stay Pepsi." Another person, Doris, wrote, "This makes me so so sad I love my diet Mountain Dew with my three ways and coneys!!!"

But not all pops in the traditional Skyline lineup are getting the boot. Dr. Pepper and Diet Dr. Pepper will still be available, and we’re getting Barq’s Root Beer and Fanta in exchange, so maybe this new stepdad of Skyline-beverage pairings won’t be too bad.
