Mack Daddy Age: 4 Years Old / Breed: English Bulldog Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue “Mack Daddy is the most handsome English Bulldog in town! This squishy faced dude is on the search for his very own forever home. At almost 4 years old, he’s a tiny tank weighing in at 55-60 pounds. Mack loves every dog he’s ever met and while he likes to play, his smushy face needs frequent breaks. He prefers to eat his meals and chew on his bones in his own space. Mack has both face and tail folds that need to be cleaned daily in order to keep from getting infected. He also loves the kittens in his foster home and would do well in a home with cats. Mack would do best with children aged 10+. He enjoys going for short walks around the neighborhood and snuggling with his foster mom. If you’re looking for a nearly perfect boy, then look no further! Mack Daddy cannot wait to find his forever home. Apply online today! My adoption fee is $250.” Photo via Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue
Liberty Age: 2 Months Old / Breed: Jack Russell Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Cincinnati Animal CARE “Liberty, Liberty, Liberty… LIBERTY! Now that we got that in your head, look at this itty bitty Jack Russell mix! Liberty LOVES attention, she’ll try to climb your legs like a mountain climber, she loves her mini tennis ball and she’s very smart. She’s already picked up on sit and stay and she’s working on spinning for a treat! She is ready for a home full of love and attention! This two month old puppy is available for adoption or foster! Her adoption fee is $200 (plus licensing). Come meet her at the Northside Shelter!” Photo via Cincinnati Animal CARE
Rounder Age: Adult / Breed: Treeing Walker Coonhound Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation “Rounder is a super sweet southern gentleman, around five years old with a big ol’ bay … music to a hound-lover’s ears! He was picked up as a stray. Thank goodness, because this guy loves the company of people and can’t get enough affection. (Especially if it involves having his ears rubbed!) He weighs in just over 50 pounds, at least half of it pure heart. Walks nicely on leash, a good listener, friendly with other dogs … an all-around great guy!” Photo via Save the Animals Foundation
Fifty Age: Young / Breed: Domestic Medium Hair & Russian Blue Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Purffect Friends “Fifty was living outside — his feeders named him Fifty after ‘fifty shades of grey; lol! He was not sure about inside life, but now he loves it. He is great with other cats and has a cute little meow. He loves to be petted, but just is not sure about being picked up. We are working on it though! Born likely February of 2019, he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and negative for fiv/felv. Adoption fee $50” Photo via Purrfect Friends
Eggroll Age: Kitten / Breed: Domestic Short Hair/ Sex: Male / Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation “What is better than a warm Eggroll on a cold day? This Eggroll is a cute white kitten with brown tabby spots and a pink nose. He is rather shy and still adjusting to people, but our little Chinese appetizer is a total sweetheart who is warming up to being held and pet. In the busy home in which he was lovingly fostered, Eggroll became fast friends with other cats but was a little unsure about dogs. Eggroll has come a long way from the terrifying situation from which he came. A cat colony in Hebron, Kentucky, was mushrooming out of control. Thankfully, a family came to the cats’ rescue and brought them to safety. The STAF grocery is now home to a whole section of International Foods, including kittens Habanero, Tabasco, Olive, Wonton and his brother Eggroll. If you love Chinese food, you’ll adore our delightful Eggroll!” Photo via Save the Animals Foundation
Marshmallow Age: 3 Months Old / Breed: German Shepherd Dog & Labrador Retriever Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue “Meet Marshmallow, a 3 month old male, 15 lbs, German Shepard/ Labrador retriever mix. He is an absolute cutie, happy go lucky pup! Enjoys a good tug of war with his brother, tries to rule over him and loves kids, hasn’t had a chance to interact with any other dogs/ cats yet. He is potty trained but needs to work on being house and crate trained, though he sleeps well confined to a small room in the night. Has traits of a good Walker, will do great with an experienced family. Did anyone say belly rub! Marshmallow’s adoption fee is $400.” Photo via Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue
Abigail Age: Adult / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Female / Rescue: AAPCATS “I am a sweet young girl, a few years old. I searched all over and finally found a rescue to take me in before the winter set in. I am shy at first, but will warm up to be near you. I probably wont be a lap cat, but will be a sweet girl to have in your home.” Photo via AAPCATS
Georgia O’Keeffe Age: Adult / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Female / Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation “Found with a broken leg behind a dumpster near the Cincinnati Art Museum in Eden Park, a volunteer gave this little cat a suitably artistic name. Her distinctive markings are a word of art: Georgia O. has white slashes going crosswise on her rounded face and her tail is striped. Miss O’Keeffe was once quite shy and still likes quiet talk and a gentle touch. Stroking of her chin and along her back elicits a warm response from this kitty, who would love to go to a serene home.” Photo via Save the Animals Foundation
Finnegan Age: Adult / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Male / Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation “If you have the luck of the Irish, you will be fortunate enough to make Finnegan’s acquaintance! They don’t come friendlier than our man Finnegan, who shows us each and everyday how grateful he is to be warm, well fed and doted on. He is a big, even-tempered, huggable guy who would think there’s nothing better than a night curled up with you in front of the TV. Pick him up and hold him and you’ll be graced with a big purr. This handsome tabby with cute white toes is also starting to show us more a playful side.” Photo via Save the Animals Foundation
Cobb Age: 2 Years Old / Breed: Mixed Bully / Sex: Male / Rescue: Cincinnati Animal CARE “Meet Cobb! Cobb is a 2 year old mixed breed who is ready to go to his forever home! He is looking for a family who can give him loads of love and kisses. Since Cobb came in as a stray, he may need help with his basic potty training! With a little but of guidance and patience, Cobb will be the perfect boy for you! He will love to be your best companion and forever best friend! Bring any dogs you have down to meet Cobb so you can make sure he is the perfect fit for your pack! Also bring any children you may have down to meet him as well! Fill out an application and come meet Cobb today!” Photo via Cincinnati Animal CARE
Sasha Age: 4 1/2 Years Old / Breed: Terrier Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue “Sasha is a 4 1/2 year old terrier mix weighing 12lbs. Sasha likes to go out on walks, and likes to play with toys that are squeaky or tennis balls. Sasha is a bit shy at first but once she warms up, she will be right by your side all the time.” Photo via Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue
Hudson Age: Adult / Breed: Tabby / Sex: Male / Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation “Hudson is definitely a lover, not a fighter! This cuddly, playful boy likes nothing better than a good belly rub. A handsome tabby and white mix with soft, soft fur, this affectionate kitty would love a forever home! Visit him in Room 11 and fall in love with his playful, charming nature.” Photo via Save the Animals Foundation
Victoria Barkley Age: 2 Years Old / Breed: Pitbull Terrier / Sex: Female / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue “This adorable pocket pittie is ready for her forever home! Mama Barkley came into rescue with her adorable litter of puppies. Victoria was underweight and nervous, but she cared for her babies like a champion, put on some weight and really came out of her shell while in rescue. All of her pups found their forever homes and now it’s momma’s turn! At 2 years old, Victoria weighs 44 pounds, making her the perfect little pocket pittie for any family! Victoria is fostered with dogs of all sizes, a cat and a toddler – she has done well with all! This adorable little girl is still learning some basic manners like how to walk on a leash and how to not jump when excited, but she is learning very quickly! Victoria is crate trained and has not had one potty accident in her foster home. She is the perfect mix of snuggle and play.. One minute she will have zoomies around the yard and the next she’ll be ready to curl up on the couch and take a snooze. Victoria and her adorable ears are ready for a forever home! If you think she would be a match for your family – apply today! Victoria’s adoption fee is $250!” Photo via Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue
Jurnee Age: 15 Months Old / Breed: Domestic Long Hair / Sex: Female / Rescue: Stray Animal Adoption Program “Attention cat lovers–I have been keeping a secret! I would love to introduce you to Jurnee! Jurnee is approximately 15 months old and has finished raising her four adorable kittens and it is now her turn to find a wonderful home. She is completely white with one black spot on her head and has very extraordinary coloring on her tail and has medium length fur. She loves kids and adults. She will get along with dogs with slow intros and those which will remain within her comfort zones. Cats are unknown at this time. Being the only cat would not hurt her feelings a bit!” Photo via SAAP
Kahl Drogo Age: 8 Years Old / Breed: Husky / Sex: Male / Rescue: Stray Animal Adoption Program “Check out this handsome guy! Kahl Drogo (knows Knute) is an 8 year old purebred Alaskan husky. He walks well on leash, is good outside of a crate, potty trained, and non-destructive. He’s rarely barks, and likes to lounge. He does NOT enjoy: cats, kids, or his tail/back legs messed with, and sharing (he resource guards his toys, bones, treats, etc). He’s lived as an only dog for some time, but has done well meeting small dogs on leash, not so well with large dogs. Preference would be an only dog home to hang out and soak up the snuggles. All SAAP animals are vet checked, UTD on vaccines, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, and given flea and heartworm preventative as age appropriate.” Photo via SAAP
Lisanna Age: Adult / Breed: Pit Bull Terrier & Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Stray Animal Adoption Program “Lisanna is a special doggo needing just the right home. She is deaf and likely has some visual impairments due to her improper breeding (double merle). She will need an adopter who is patient and can continue helping her thrive with special training for deaf dogs. When she feels safe she is a sweet girl, loves fetch, and loves mealtime. Quick movements can scare her so no children, please. She seems to be having difficulties with other dogs which may due to her inability to read body language of other dogs so it’s best if she could be someone’s one and only. She does know several hand commands but of course could always use more training to help her adjust. She is house and crate trained. She is fearful of the vet as a FYI. She is a sound sleeper as one may expect… So no worries about a scared dog during storms or fireworks! Apply to meet this super darling girl if you have what it takes to help her be her best!” Photo via SAAP
Lucy Van Pelt Age: Young / Breed: Domestic Short Hair Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Cat Adoption Team “With her soft white fur and her sweet chirping voice, Lucie Van Pelt is a beautiful calico. Unlike her name sake, Lucy Van Pelt, Lucie loves other cats and kittens and adores humans. She loves and talk to find her humans and comes for pets and to give biscuits to show how happy she is.” Photo via Cat Adoption Team
Luke the Beagle Age: 2 to 3 Years Old / Breed: Beagle / Sex: Male / Rescue: Sweet Dream House Rescue “This little guy had emergency spinal surgery 4 weeks ago. His recovery has gone so well he’s ready to go. Luke is a happy, playful goofy boy who loves toys and rolling around in the grass. He needs a home with lots and lots of toys. Luke is 2-3 year old and weighs 26 lbs. He is housebroken, crate trained, quiet and rides well in a car. He loves to be with people and is fine with other dogs. He’s fine with cats, he’s just a bit afraid of them. Luke had a herniated disk in his back which was surgically removed (thank you donors!). He’s recovering very well from his surgery, but he needs a furever home that will suit his physical needs. We’d like to find him a home where he doesn’t have to navigate flights of stairs. A step or two is fine. He’s fine with other dogs, but lots of roughhousing is not a great idea, so we’d prefer to find him a home where he will be an only dog, or with a dog that’s his size or smaller, moderate or low energy. While Luke loves everyone, we think he’s best suited to a home with no small children. Luke likes to follow his beagle nose, so he needs a fenced yard. Greater Cincinnati adopters only please, no apartments.” Photo via Sweet Dream House Rescue
Midas Age: Adult / Breed: Corgi & Terrier Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Stray Animal Adoption Program “This cutie Corgi/Terrier mix is sweet, loving, easy-going, and ready to find his forever family. He’s excited to play and fetch when you are, and also happy to relax any time. Will curl up and snooze while you work from home and then be the best, easiest walking companion. He was hit by his owner as a pup but is still so loving and gentle.” Photo via SAAP
Norton Age: Adult / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Male / Rescue: OAR “Norton is a beautiful buff boy who can be a bit shy at first, but is a real lover after he’s warmed up to you. Once he’s comfortable, he’s going to want to spend all of his time with you — walking around, chatting, sitting in your lap. His favorite way to say hello is rubbing faces with you and he’s a master biscuit maker during lap time. If all that cuteness isn’t enough for you, Norton’s got one more trick up his sleeve – he’s a very skilled football player. He uses his back paws to kick a toy in the air, then he chases it, knocking it around the room until finally tackling it. Proud of himself, he struts off, greets his fans, and stretches out to take a break. Come meet Norton today and let him play his way into your heart…” Photo via Ohio Alleycat Resource
Firefly Age: Adult / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Female / Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation “What’s more magical than a firefly show on a warm summer night? Our very own Firefly at STAF is even more magical if you can imagine and is a real delight to watch. She originally lived among a colony of cats that were cared for every day, until it was evident that she was in need of some medical attention and no longer could she be a part of the outside ‘light show.’ Firefly has been living among her kitty roommates in our Room 17, and now she is considered a senior, so she mostly lounges and watches the other cats perform. She is laid back, sweet and gets along acceptably with other cats. But this little bug is more interested in living the life of leisure, now that she is a spunky senior. Adorably, she takes a flying jump into the lap of volunteers who take the time to get to know her well. Never having lived in a home as far as we know (although of course she has a home at STAF), it would be wonderful wizardry for her to live the life of luxury in a fabulous forever home!” Photo via Save the Animals Foundation
Penny Age: Adult / Breed: Pit Bull Terrier & Boxer Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Stray Animal Adoption Program “Penny the pittie is looking for her forever home!! This sweet girl is good with other dogs and also is good with the humans. She knows a trick or two and would be happy to show you for a treat.” Photo via SAAP
Scout Age: 9 Months Old / Breed: Pitbull Terrier / Sex: Male / Rescue: Adore-A-Bull Rescue “Meet the incredible SCOUT! He is approximately 9 months old and still a ball of puppy energy. He still has plenty of growing into his skin to do; you will love the rolls. He loves chewing on his toys and playing — especially with his foster sister Lila. He is definitely motivated by food so it was easy to teach him the commands ‘sit, off, and down.’ He is crate trained and enjoys his meals in his crate as well. He is currently staying in a kid-friendly home with 2 other dogs, we don’t know how he does with cats. As much as he enjoys playing, he also enjoys cuddling up on the couch and being loved on.” Photo via Adore-A-Bull
Pita Age: Adult / Breed: Domestic Short Hair / Sex: Female / Rescue: OAR “Pita is a cute tuxie who has a very sweet purr-sonality. At first she is shy with new people and new surroundings, but she’s very kind and affectionate once she is comfortable. She’s looking for a home with a patient person who will let her come out of her shell at her own pace and a private place she can claim until she feels safe. Once she’s had a chance to warm up, she loves to be held and cuddled, so the reward is well worth the patience!” Photo via Ohio Alleycat Resource
Sasha Age: Adult / Breed: Domestic Long Hair/ Sex: Female / Rescue: Save the Animals Foundation “Sasha knows she is magnificent! She has a downy, thick solid gray coat that requires dedicated maintenance to keep it from matting and intense yellow-green eyes. Her favorite perch is the top tier of a tall cat tree, from which she can greet all visitors, survey the room and meet her humans eye to eye. Sasha loves a good stroking but being picked up is not her cup of tea. She would like to be the queen bee, so she is seeking a home where she is the only feline for miles around. Although she takes charge with people, dominant male cats intimidate Sasha and make her miserable. Because this spirited cat can be challenging at times, she also demands a home without children (or plans to have them) and with people who have plenty of cat experience. Sadly, a couple that had Sasha from the time she was a kitten was moving and unable to take her with them, a story we hear all too often. Her coat was badly matted, so an adorable lion-cut was in order to make her comfortable. Sasha’s big personality makes her a highly engaging companion—are you her happily ever after?” Photo via Save the Animals Foundation
