According to a study by MI Bets, an online gambling site, Bengals fans actually don’t complain that much — at least compared to fans of other NFL teams.
“No matter which team you’re betting on this season, one thing all NFL fans can agree on is that there’s nothing worse than a whiner, whether the complaint is warranted or not. Regardless of who’s doing the complaining, this unsportsmanlike conduct is unbecoming of players, coaches, and fans alike,” the study reads.
The website surveyed more than 5,000 fans across the country to see who the biggest whiners were. Turns out its supporters of:
- The Dallas Cowboys
- New England Patriots
- Buffalo Bills
- Chicago Bears
- Philadelphia Eagles
Where did our Who-Deyers rank? 27th out of 32, with Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans, who apparently have little interest in shit-talking, coming in last.
What do Bengals fans complain about the most? Bad officiating. Other big Monday morning quarterbacking complaints across the NFL include teams using victim mentality and complaining on social media.
Speaking of quarterbacking: New quarterback Joe Burrow also ranked 14th for NFL QBs who complain the most; Bengals coach Zac Taylor ranked the same (14th) for coaches who complaint the most.
But the biggest baby is Tom Brady.
“The former New England Patriot and current Tampa Bay Buccaneer was ranked as the worst quarterback in the NFL when it comes to complaining, according to fans,” says MI Bets. “He was followed closely by the Patriots’ Cam Newton — whose infamous post-Super Bowl interview will never be forgotten. Josh Allen (Bills), Aaron Rodgers (Packers) and Nick Foles (Bears) rounded out the quarterbacks who were voted as the worst complainers by NFL fans.”
