Someone has defaced the “Cincinnati Toy Heritage” ArtWorks mural downtown by adding a decidedly less artful graffiti tag in the lower left corner of the image.

The white tag — with a nifty lil’ peace sign in the middle — has defaced the work, which celebrates the legacy of Cincinnati’s Kenner Toys on a building on West Court Street. According to the mural description, “The legacy of Kenner Toys, a Cincinnati-based toy company founded in 1947, is documented in this work of art which showcases some of the most popular toys that were designed by the company. Marvel at the surreal renderings designed by local artist Jonathan Queen. Passersby will enjoy his use of adored characters and toys like Care Bear, C3PO, Easy Bake Oven, Spirograph, Strawberry Shortcake and many more.”

In their Instagram post, ArtWorks says that street artists typically avoid their murals and other public artworks out of respect, but that this mural was tagged the weekend of March 30.
