Staying at home and practicing social distancing doesn’t have to be boring. Forbes magazine is bringing some of the world’s greatest adventures to you in one of their of their recent online articles.
The publication lists 20 worldwide experiences that you can explore virtually, two of which feature our very own Queen City: one is at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and the other is via a collaboration between the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Opera.
“You may not be able to leave the confines of your home, but there are ways for you to escape to other destinations,” the article intro reads. “We found palm-tree dotted beaches that you can visit, a rollicking Instagram Live dance party to join, top-notch museums to explore, high-octane Formula 1 races to watch and so much more.”
Forbes highlights the zoo’s Home Safari Facebook Live series that airs every day at 3 p.m., noting our humble hippo princess Fiona as the one of the stars featured in the virtual safari.
They also mention the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Opera’s collaboration with The Well — the local mindfulness initiative behind City Silence and the True Body Project — and several other performing arts organizations to offer a guided meditation series called Mindful Music Moments.
Some other destinations that made the list were the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, a live beach feed in The Hamptons and the Vatican in Rome.
