The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s super popular Wild About Wine happy hour event is moving from an in-person event to a “portable party.”

Due to rising COVID cases and other safety alerts in Hamilton County, the zoo is selling Wild About Wine To-Go packs, which include two bottles of wine, a Wild About Wine souvenir glass, two tickets to the zoo (valid through the end of the year) and other surprises.

The packs cost $50 for non-members and $45 for members.

“Our Toast to the Wild event series is wildly popular and also raises critically-needed funds for the Zoo,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard in a release. “We would prefer to host all events at the Zoo but are excited to offer this fun alternative for Wild About Wine. The safety of our guests, staff and animals is our top priority.”

Select a party pack pick-up date — from 6-8 p.m. July 30 or Aug. 13 — and drive to the zoo’s designated area at the main parking lot at 3400 Vine St., Avondale to grab your goodies. Q102’s DJ Kay will be there providing the tunes; make sure to bring your ID.

July 27 is the last day to purchase party packs for pick-up on July 30. Aug. 10 is the last day to get Wild About Wine party packs for the Aug. 13 pick-up date.

Purchase at cincinnatizoo.org.
