Comedian Trevor Noah’s Loud & Clear Tour came to Cincinnati earlier this year. The sold-out Aronoff Center show must’ve gone well because this spring the Daily Show host is bringing the tour back to the venue.

The 2020 Loud & Clear world tour begins in January and brings Noah back to the Aronoff on May 9.

Tickets for the show ($45-$99.50) go on sale Friday, Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. via cincinnatiarts.org.

A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, Noah — who plays a sold-out Madison Square Garden this weekend — began his career in entertainment when he was 18, acting and doing radio. Switching to comedy, Noah became a big success on the comedy circuit in South Africa and started hosting a variety of television programs in his homeland.

Noah moved to the U.S. in the early ’10s and within three years he became an on-air contributor to The Daily Show. In 2015, many were shocked when Noah was named Jon Stewart’s replacement on the show. Despite some early mixed reviews, The Daily Show has continued to be critically acclaimed and remains an awards season darling.

Noah’s career outside of The Daily Show has also continued to thrive. His autobiographical book Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood and its youth-oriented spinoff, It’s Trevor Noah: Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, were New York Times bestsellers. And his eighth comedy special, Son of Patricia, premiered last year on Netflix.

Noah’s production company is currently developing a film based on Born a Crime starring Academy Award-winning actor Lupita Nyong’o.
