Fairfax’s Karrikin Spirits Company is getting festive this Halloween season and teaming up with the Cindependent Film Festival for a special “Spooky Spirits” movie night in their parking lot.

The socially distanced, ticketed event will show five short films totaling a runtime of 40 minutes and featuring “ghoulish sprites: zombies, aliens, weirdos, sci-fi, and ghosts,” according to a press release from Karrikin. There are three different showing times: 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Sessions are limited to 60 people and tickets cost $5 per person.

In addition to entertainment from Cindependent’s Reels on Wheels mobile film screening trailer, “Spooky Spirits” will also offer seasonal cocktails, beer and free hot cocoa for the kiddos.

The press release encourages attendees to dress up in their Halloween best — they will be handing out gift card prizes for winners of several costume categories.

As of now, the event will take place outdoors, however, depending on the weather, they will shift the movie night inside.

Additional info about the event and tickets are available online here.
