Burning Man, a mystical arts and culture festival promoting self-expression and communal reliance, has cropped up in a Nevada desert for precisely one week per year since 1990.
This month’s Art After Dark at the Cincinnati Art Museum gives you the first opportunity to see No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man after it arrives in the Queen City by way of Washington, D.C.’s Smithsonian.
The vast collection of festival artwork features room-sized installations, jewelry, vehicles, costumes and more. Appreciate bohemian aesthetics alongside live DJ sets, a performance by Covington dance collective Pones Inc. and refreshments provided by the Skeleton Root, Dewey’s Pizza and Graeter’s.
Costumes encouraged; no masks.
Entry to No Spectators is free and does not require tickets. Tickets are required to see Paris 1900: City of Entertainment — they are free but are timed and must be picked up in-person at the Visitor Services desk in the Front Lobby beginning at 4:30 p.m. on April 26.
