The Aronoff Center for the Arts is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. And the Cincinnati Arts Association — the nonprofit that oversees the Aronoff, Music Hall and Weston Art Gallery — wants to take this opportunity to thank those who have been supporting the center for a quarter century with a Name-A-Seat drive.

For a certain donation amount, you’ll get a brass plaque attached to the arm of seat in Procter & Gamble Hall. You can name the seat after yourself, a loved one, a pet, a child, a business — basically anything with a name.

The cost is $1,000 for a Front Orchestra seat, $750 for a Rear Orchestra seat and $500 for a Loge seat.

Due to COVID-19, the Cincinnati Art’s Association has had to cancel over 300 events, causing a severe loss in funds for the nonprofit.

“The generosity of our audiences, donors, and sponsors has never been more important than now, and we are extremely grateful for their ongoing interest and support,” said Steve Loftin, President of the Cincinnati Arts Association.

The money raised from this drive will help make sure the Aronoff can continue programming and presenting shows for another 25 years. The money will also go toward the Cincinnati Arts Association’s education programs, the Arts-in Healing initiative and exhibitions by local artists at the Weston.

It’s important to note that naming a seat is just that. It doesn’t mean that you own that seat and it does not mean you have a guaranteed seat whenever you would like.

But, when you are buying tickets to an Aronoff show, you can always ask about that seat’s availability.

The seat-naming campaign will run through Aug. 31, 2021 and you can find more information about it at cincinnatiarts.org/membership-support/name-a-seat.
