Kings Island has postponed its April opening day and rescheduled it, hopefully, for mid-May.
According to a release on the Kings Island website from Cedar Fair Entertainment CEO Richard Zimmerman, “We have been continuously monitoring and following regional and national health directives related to COVID-19 and we want to keep you informed on how these events will impact our park schedule. Currently, it is our hope to open Kings Island mid-May or as soon thereafter as possible. We believe this decision is in the best interest of our associates, our guests, and our community.”
The park says the choice was made for the well-being of its guests and associates.
If you have prepaid for park tickets, contact Kings Island’s help/contact us page to learn about your options. And if you are a 2020 passholder, the park will be adding more days to the operating calendar to make up for the temporary closure.
