The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Live Tour is coming to the Taft Theatre on Oct. 24 with its original host and creator, Joel Hodgson, touring with it for the first time in 25 years. He’ll share hosting duties with newer host, yellow-jumpsuited Jonah Ray — their first time together riffing and joking on stage in real time to a movie being screened. They won’t be alone; there’ll be a full complement of bots.
In Cincinnati at 7:30 p.m., they’ll be presenting 1988’s The Brain, which they describe as a “Canadian sci-fi suburban nightmare.” In many cities on the tour, Mystery Science Theater 3000 is also doing a separately ticketed late-night show, Deathstalker II. That is not scheduled to be done here, however.
