On Sunday, Jan. 5, Greater Cincinnati was visited by winter storm Blair, which left us with a near-record-breaking snowfall of 6.4 inches at CVG, just 0.5 inches from the 1977 record of 6.9 inches. The snow continued into Monday, with CVG recording 10.4 inches this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
With the snow also came sleet, a Level 2 Snow Emergency in Hamilton County, treacherous roads and closed highways. These factors led to a snow day, or at least a work-from-home day, for many across Greater Cincinnati, and Cincinnatians made the most of it — playing outside with their dogs, building snowmen, making snow angels and just basking in the beauty of Cincinnati in the snow.
