In the wise words of Rebecca Black, “It’s Friday, Friday. Gotta get down on Friday.”
And while this New Year’s Eve is on a Tuesday, you’re still going to want to get down at Hard Rock Casino’s iconic New Year’s Eve Show. Singer-songwriter and internet personality Rebecca Black and Cincinnati’s own DJ Boywife are taking over for an unforgettable collab.
Rebecca Black is best known for “Friday,” her iconic 2011 hit that we were all playing on our iPod Nanos, and has recently dipped her toe into the world of DJing with her recent collaboration with Boiler Room, an online music broadcaster that hosts dance music events that premiered on Youtube earlier this October and received nearly 1 million streams.
Cincinnati’s DJ Boywife will be opening and closing for Black’s performance. DJ Boywife has become a name you cannot miss within Cincinnati’s club culture, as he spends his weekends at some of the best spots for a night out in the Queen City, like Alice, Bloom OTR, Mecca and more and cultivates a safe space and fun environment.
“It’s the greatest opportunity I’ve been granted in my career thus far, and I’m incredibly thankful to Hard Rock for seeing me,” said DJ Boywife, “I’m unspeakably excited and have personally committed to blow every mind in the building.”
So if you haven’t made your New Year’s Eve plans, you just did. And if you already had plans, try and fit this one into your schedule; you don’t want to miss it.
The New Year’s Eve Party with Rebecca Black and DJ Boywife begins at 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and admission to the event is free. But make sure to arrive early, as space will be limited.
