Unfolding Oct. 10-13, the BLINK 2019 art and light festival will span 30 blocks and cross the Ohio River with large-scale projection mapping, murals, interactive light sculptures, live entertainment, a festive parade and more, including a glowing, singing Roebling Bridge.

The fest has just announced the 2019 list of participating muralists and projection mapping organizations.

There will be 16 new murals created for the 2019 festival, overseen by BLINK partner AGAR. The muralists come from eight countries and six U.S. cities.

“We’re excited to bring this diverse and globally renowned group of artists to BLINK. The 16 new murals will join the nine created in Cincinnati’s Findlay Market neighborhood for BLINK in 2017,” said Andrew Salzbrun of AGAR in a release.

There will be 39 projection mappings created by 36 organizations/artists from six countries and seven U.S. cities, including 21 artists from Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.

“BLINK will feature nearly double the number of projection mappings (20) of 2017, and we’re thrilled that 50 percent of our projection mapping installations are either led by or exclusively produced by female artists,” said Steve McGowan of Brave Berlin, the creative group curating the mappings.
