Braxton Labs, Braxton Brewing’s mad scientist cousin well-known for their creative beer concoctions, has announced a fruity new sipper you can look forward to enjoying this spring.
The “groundbreaking” new line of brews is called the Smoothie Series, with their first up being blueberry- and pink guava-infused beer.
The beer starts with a “kettle soured base, then the fun begins,” a Facebook post by the brewery reads. “We added just over 2 pounds per gallon (that’s about 65 pounds per barrel!) of freshly pureed blueberry and pink guava.”
This isn’t their first series of decadent, frozen beverage-inspired drinks — Braxton Labs has released a variety of Milkshake IPAs with flavors including mango and tangerine.
The smoothie brew will be available to order online on Saturday starting at 9 a.m and will be available for pick-up at Covington’s Braxton Brewing from noon-6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Braxton Brewing Company, 27 W. Seventh St., Covington.
