If you had to think up an alcoholic beverage to represent Cincinnati, what would it be? Would it be a crisp lager to represent our brewing heritage? Maybe some Kentucky bourbon? Or, would it be a cocktail crafted in the spirit of our famous chili?

In honor of its first season and the Official Sparkling Wine Sponsor of the NFL, California champagne brand André is rolling out the “André Tailgate Team-Mosa,” 32 over-the-top mimosa recipes based on each team in the league, and guess what flavor the Cincinnati Bengals are repping — what else but Cincinnati-style chili?

The André Winemaking Team experimented with local flavors to craft the flavor profile of the “Chili3WayMosa,” a chaotic name for a chaotic drink that blends champagne, cooked pasta water, chili, cinnamon and cheddar.

“NFL celebrations are filled with passion, creativity, and spirited moments of fandom,” Beth Orozco, vice president of marketing at Gallo, André’s parent company. “André is on a mission to spark moments of shared celebration, and this NFL season, we’re doing it with one over-the-top Team-Mosa at a time. For die-hard fans and playful souls alike, we challenge fans to try our wild concoctions or experiment with the craziest ones they can dream up.”

If you want to try your own Chili3WayMosa, the recipe’s ratio is 1/2 André, 1/4 cooked pasta water, 1/8 cinnamon and 1/8 chili powder. Finish it off by doing a shredded cheddar rim. (Sensitive stomachs may want to avoid.)

And to see how the Chili3WayMosa measures up to our AFC rivals (PickleMosa for the Pittsburgh Steelers and BurntEndsMosa for the Kansas City Chiefs), plus the other team’s cocktails, you can vote for your favorite Team-Mosa from now until Dec. 1. The winning cocktail will be brought to life and bottled (or canned) and crowned the ultimate Team-Mosa.

After voting closes, over 500 fans will win a reusable Team-Mosa bottle and a gift card for a bottle of André so you can create your own Chili3WayMosa at the next tailgate party, if you dare.

You can vote for your favorite Team-Mosa at andre-champagne.com.
