Montgomery Inn is now serving Coca-Cola products instead of Pepsi.
Cincinnati’s local bottler Coca-Cola Consolidated announced its partnership with the iconic Cincinnati restaurant today in a press release, noting that the full gamut of Coke products — from the original cola to Barq’s to Mello Yello — will be available at both the original Montgomery Inn location and the downtown Boathouse.
“We’re honored to bring together two iconic brands to elevate the ultimate Ohio/Northern Kentucky dining experience,” said Local Key Account Manager for Food Service Jeff Cummins in a release. “Pairing Montgomery Inn’s world-famous ribs with Coca-Cola allows us to deliver even more of the special traditions our community loves.”
Montgomery Inn is well-known to every Cincinnatian for its famous barbecue sauce and its status as the “Rib King,” and has been a Queen City staple for over 75 years. The original restaurant opened in 1951, and has since had a number of famous guests. Five U.S. presidents (Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush) have dined at Montgomery Inn, as have entertainers like Britney Spears and Elton John along with historic figures like Neil Armstrong.
