Latonia’s evening-only bakery Moonrise Doughnuts has reopened its doors after a several-months long hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The shop reopened its doors on June 11, and worked on renovations throughout the space during the stay-at-home orders.
According to a Facebook post by the bakery, currently, a portion of Moonrise Doughnuts’ parking lot has been transformed to offer outdoor seating for its guests. They have also implemented several new guidelines in order to comply with COVID-19-related health regulations, including restricting the in-shop capacity and asking guests to wait for their hot donuts outside.
Their space and safety precautions aren’t the only thing that’s experiencing changes, though. Guests can expect some exciting new menu items as well in the coming weeks.
“Over the next few weeks we will be introducing new doughnuts and pastries on a regular basis,” they say in a Facebook post.
Moonrise Doughnuts is located at 3718 Winston Ave. in Latonia and opens at 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Follow their Facebook page for updates on their daily donut offerings.
