A Cincinnati staple is returning to its more traditional ways with a new menu debuting Wednesday.
Taste of Belgium is unveiling new items like the Birria Waffle and Nordic Eggs Benedict. While continuing many of the classic favorites of their customers, like the open canvas that their mussel and Belgian frites offer, the established restaurant says it will continue to look for ways to innovate.
Additions to the always-popular waffle and chicken will now include a Nashville Hot Waffle & Chicken as well as a Korean Waffle & Chicken. There was also a renewed focus to divide the menu into a breakfast and lunch section — separate from the dinner menu — which Taste of Belgium is looking to more widely publicize. Fan favorites like the Belgian Meatballs and Burgers also provide great pairings with the bistro’s unmatched selection of imported Belgian beer, each style poured in its own unique glass.
“We wanted to refine the menu in a way to continue to innovate our popular dishes, as well as return to more traditional Belgian cuisine,” said Jean-François Flechet, founder of Taste of Belgium.
The new menu is available in-bistro at their three main locations in Over-the-Rhine, Rookwood and The Banks, as well as through carryout and delivery. All three locations are now also opening a bit earlier, now starting their days at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.
