The award-winning team behind Alifo’s Buon Cibo in Hyde Park is working on opening a new concept in Covington this summer.
Noche will open in the former Rich’s Proper Food & Drink at 701 Madison Ave. in June. The concept is built from the vision of Chef Alfio Gulisano, Jennifer Birt and Michelle O’Brien, who say Noche will bring together deep Italian roots, Argentine soul and Midwest hospitality and offer a moody, late-night atmosphere.
Noche will not be a traditional restaurant, but an invitation, says the team, with three experiences rolled into one kitchen. Bar Noche will offer bold cocktails and small plates; Noche Fresco will be an open-air patio perfect for enjoying bites during golden hour; and Noche Intimo will feature a cozy ambiance with reserved seating for connecting over shared plates.
The menu will focus on shareable dishes and thoughtful cocktails, and the space will offer a flexible and no-pressure approach to hospitality, where guests can come early, stay late or build their night based on the vibe.
“Whether it’s a date night, a spontaneous post-show visit, or an impromptu happy hour that turns into dinner, Noche adapts to the rhythm of its guests,” the team said in a press release.
Chef Alfio will continue to lead the kitchen at Alfio’s, with Noche aiming to translate the success of the Hyde Park restaurant into a more relaxed, design-forward and late-night-friendly format.
