Los Angeles-based Folk Rockers Dawes are bringing their new Good Luck With Whatever Tour to the Taft Theatre this fall.
The show, with guest Erin Rae, is slated for Sept. 26.
“To our beloved audience, it is with excitement and delightment, that we are prepared to announce our first tour dates in for F#$@ing ever!” said the band in a statement. “It’s time to hang up our Zooms and get back in some non-chat style rooms. We’ll be joined by Erin Rae!”
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 16 via ticketmaster.com and tafttheatre.org.
Good Luck With Whatever is the band’s seventh studio album, described in a release as “Dawes at their most unapologetic. It’s sympathetic and magnetic, 50% genetic and highly kinetic.”
“We’re a living breathing organism,” says keyboardist Lee Pardini in the same release. “People love to say, ‘this record sounds so this’ and ‘that record sounds so that,’ but to us, it just sounds like Dawes. We make records to document where we are at that time, but every time I check, it just sounds like Griff, Taylor, Wylie and me.”
