Singer/guitarist Susan Tedeschi and her guitar-slinging husband Derek Trucks have been spending their summers on the road since 2015, with their Tedeschi Trucks Band heading up the cross-country, Roots-music-heavy “Wheels of Soul Tour.” The tour has frequently visited Cincinnati and today it was announced that this coming summer it will return to PNC Pavilion for a July 19 show.
The Wheels of Soul has showcased a range of American Roots music since its inception, featuring artists like Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Los Lobos, North Mississippi Allstars, The Wood Brothers, Marcus King Band and Drive-By Truckers on the past four ventures. For this year’s fifth-anniversary tour, Tedeschi Trucks Band will be joined by Atlanta Southern Rock group Blackberry Smoke and Americana duo Shovels & Rope.
