Artist and building renovator Mark Dejong is at it again with his second home reconstruction, in which the woodworker enlists fine artists to create site-specific artwork for the opening of the future residential space. In the same vein as his “5k House” in Camp Washington, Dejong purchased the house less than a year ago and has been fixing it up for resale. This new “American Foursquare” home in Northside might be even better suited for Dejong’s skillset, as the turn-of-the-century building style is known for its incorporation of handcrafted, Craftsman-style woodwork. Artists featured in the house include Carmel Buckley, Anthony Luensman, Tim McMichael and Paige Williams, among others.
