A deputy with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office appears to have forgotten his oath to serve and protect.
Deputy Ronald Vest has been arrested on multiple charges related to child porn, Sheriff Charmaine McGuffey says in a news release. He is charged with pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and seven counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor.
Both charges are felonies under the Ohio Revised Code.
Vest, age 51, works in the Jail Services Division and has been employed with HCSO since 1991.
McGuffey says that Vest was arrested without incident and is being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center.
McGuffey notes that the investigation into Vest’s internet activities continues, and anyone with relevant information should contact the Regional Electronics & Computer Investigations section at 513-946-8338.
