Cincinnati vintage Psych Pop/Rock trio Buffalo Killers are prepping a new album that is currently scheduled for release by the end of the year. In the meantime, the group is releasing a new single (“Huma Bird” backed with “Spend My Last Breath”), which is available for download at all major online retailers and will be sold as a vinyl 7-inch at the band’s shows and Web site. —-

Buffalo Killers are slowing down its tour schedule a bit this fall, following a busy summer that included more dates with The Black Crowes and a set at the “All Tomorrow’s Parties Festival” in England. The ATP show was curated by Dayton’s The Breeders and also featured Gang of Four, Throwing Muses, Teenage Fanclub, Shellac and The Heartless Bastards. Buffalo Killers are headlining the Southgate House in Newport on Sept. 26 for the MidPoint Music Festival.
