Y’all ever heard of Zach Collaros? Apparently South Florida’s defensive players hadn’t when he came into the Bearcats’ Oct. 15 contest against the Bulls and proceeded to finish off the whoopin’ that Tony Pike and company started.
The Cats are now 6-0 heading into Saturday’s homecoming game against Louisville, and it’s yet to be determined whether the Cardinals will face a sore-but-recovered Pike or the sophomore from a place called Steubenville, Ohio. It’s largely assumed that Collaros can handle the Cardinals, who are 2-4 overall and have lost both their Big East games this year, though after his play against South Florida many believe he (or whoever else Brian Kelly tells to play quarterback) could lead the Cats to a consecutive league championship himself.
Currently No. 5 in the BCS standings, UC has crazy thoughts of going undefeated and playing for the National Championship. First they have to take care of Louisville on Homecoming, with or without their Heisman hopeful.
The game is 3:30 p.m. $42-$56.
