Fountain Square’s annual Christmas tree tradition, like most of 2020, looks a little bit different this year. Delivered over the weekend, the Macy’s tree, a 65-foot Norway Spruce, apparently had a rough voyage to the Queen City and is looking slightly sparse, causing in influx of light-hearted buzz on the social media channels.
And while a Charlie Brown Christmas just might be the wholesome charm our spirits needed this season, the team behind the holiday mishap assures that the tree will be “fluffed up and beautified after her long drive into town,” and encourages folks to follow along for its transformation.
It’s a little scraggly, much like our patience for the year, but we’re confident the tree will be looking spruced up in no time.
