The anticipated new bar/music venue Northside Yacht Club (in the space formerly occupied by Mayday) is officially open. This weekend would be the perfect time to check it out, as heavy, compelling Post Punk newcomers Publicist UK (featuring members of Revocation, Municipal Waste and many other notable bands) brings the tour for its debut album Forgive Yourself (released this Friday) to town to help break in the club. The band will be joined by popular Louisville, Ky. rockers Young Widows and Northern Kentucky’s Royal Holland, the excellent Indie/Folk/Rock project of local singer/songwriter Matt Mooney. Royal Holland is prepping a new EP, Volume Two – Flamingo, which will be released next month.
