The Cincinnati Music Festival is back this weekend, with headlining performances by Janet Jackson, Charlie Wilson and Ari Lennox at the Andrew J Brady Music Center and Paul Brown Stadium.
And with the giant event comes a series of smaller celebrations, including a pop-up roller rink.
Frisch’s is moving its nearly 9,000-square-foot mobile roller rink from its typical home on Court Street Plaza to right outside the Andrew J Brady Music Center on Race Street downtown on July 22 and July 23 to coincide with the music festival and the dedication of Cincinnati’s Black Music Walk of Fame.
Reservations are not required and skate rental is $5.
Frisch’s launched its mobile roller rink over Memorial Day weekend to celebrate the local chain’s 75th anniversary — a nostalgic nod to how popular roller skating was back when Frisch’s was founded.
The rink will return to Court Street Plaza Aug. 5-7.
The Frisch’s Mobile Roller Rink pop-up to celebrate the Cincinnati Music Festival takes place 4-8 p.m. July 22 and noon-6 p.m. July 23 at the Andrew J Brady Music Center (25 Race St., Downtown). Admission is $2. More info: facebook.com/mobilerollerrink.
