The Cincinnati Bengals’ 27-10 win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC divisional round on Jan. 22 had a little bit of everything, but perhaps snow was the big ingredient.
In a game that saw a recovering Bills safety Damar Hamlin waving to fans from his suite, the Bengals dominated Buffalo thanks to a hungry offensive bench and smooth plays by quarterback Joe Burrow, running back Joe Mixon and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. Chase even found himself on the short end of an overturned touchdown, with officials claiming (falsely, many fans say) that he lost control of the ball as he caught it over the goal line. Read CityBeat‘s full recap of the AFC divisional game.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 29 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. In the meantime, players, analysts and fans had plenty to say about the divisional game. Scroll down for the big reactions.
Reactions to Cincinnati Bengals’ AFC Divisional Win and That Overturned Touchdown Photos: Bengals media assets; twitter.com/joe_mainmixonI’ve watched a lot of debates in my life. I have never witnessed a complete, utter and total dismantling like @TimRyan just did to @JDVance1. That’s my guy. 🇺🇸— Rep. Casey Weinstein (@RepWeinstein) October 11, 2022“Red” down 50 East
Before “Getaway Car,” “Red” was the unofficial driving anthem for Swift fans. The autumnal vibes of the song’s namesake album make fall the best time to listen to “Red,” and U.S. Route 50 East the best place. The drive is breezy and beautiful, with loads of fall views as the trees change colors along the Ohio River. Let someone else focus on the road while you scream-sing from the passenger seat, because no amount of time will make what the fuck boy did to you any less shitty.“Hang On Sloopy” is a bad dumb song. https://t.co/pXQHN8yw2N— ARadSkullMug (@spitandtears) April 7, 2022truly cannot believe steve chabot lost. this is a moment i have been waiting for since i was an actual kid.— c0rr3na (parody) (@itscorrena) November 9, 2022“Where You Left Me” at Arnold’s Bar and Grill
If the character in Swift’s “Where You Left Me” were to sit cross-legged in the dim light anywhere, it would be at Arnold’s. Walking into the historic (and haunted) joint, one can picture the girl frozen in time in the corner, dust collected on her pinned-up hair. The building even has a history of ghosts breaking glass in front of customers. Este? Is that you?“Coney Island” at … well, Coney Island
This one’s pretty obvious, but since local indie darlings The National are on this track with Tay-Tay, we can safely say “Coney Island” is as Cincinnati as it gets. Find a bench, pop a squat and get good and gloomy.NEW: I spoke with former TPD chief @ChiefDuganRet about Tampa's worst mural, and why he says it "looks like a first grader's art project," and should be removed. https://t.co/uUBdxYWzF9— Colin Wolf (@WolfColin) April 19, 2022“22” at Murphy’s Pub
It’s the kind of bar you discover a few years into the college experience. You’re no longer using a fake, but you’re also over the crowded scene at bars on the Banks and the big parties full of freshmen.Forget the ‘Report a Tweet’ button, Twitter needs a ‘Report a Murder’ button.Because my feed tonight is filled with clips like this of Tim Ryan skewering JD Vance in their #OHSen debate tonight.pic.twitter.com/EbCDMFQ97O— TrumpsTaxes (@TrumpsTaxes) October 11, 2022We all knew it was coming, but it’s still a gut punch.
