Yelp has just released its Top 100 U.S. Restaurants of 2022 list, and a Cincinnati pizza place made the cut.
Fireside Pizza in Walnut Hills came in a No. 67, the only restaurant in Cincinnati and one of four from Ohio to make the list.
Fireside, located in a historic firehouse, offers a wide selection of hand-tossed brick-oven pizza cooked by a fire that uses locally sourced oak wood.
Yelp calls out the pizzeria's popular white pie, made with olive oil, rosemary, garlic and a creamy three-cheese mixture. Fireside is also known for partnering with other local eateries to produce some creative pizzas. For example, the barbecue chicken pie is made with Eli's barbecue sauce, house-roasted chicken and topped with pickled onions.
Yelp says the list mostly consists of restaurants on the cheaper side, a lot $30-and-under meals. So Fireside fits right in with their $10-$12 9-inch specialty pies.
The top 100 restaurants were ranked by a series of factors. Yelp says they reached out to their customers asking for their favorite places to eat and then ordered the list by number of votes, ratings and reviews, as well as “geographic representation."
The other Ohio eateries on Yelp's list include The Sleepy Rooster in Chagrin Falls (No. 41); The Refectory Restaurant in Columbus (No. 45); and The Alcove Restaurant & Lounge in Mt. Vernon (No. 76).
