The Moerlein Lager House is bringing back its Überdrome, a giant Munich-style tent, during Oktoberfest weekend.
Inside, there will be German bands, Oktoberfest games, German food, German-style beers served in 1-liter glass boots (aka the infamous DAS BOOT) and plenty more, including an Oktoberfest chicken dinner available for purchase in advance ($25-$35). The dinner features half a rotisserie chicken, red cabbage, spaetzle and a DAS BOOT filled with the Moerlein beer of your choice.
Expect Christian Moerlein Fifth & Vine Oktoberfest Marzen, Christian Moerlein Das Uber Fest Lager, Hudepohl Oktoberfest and Paulaner Oktoberfest beers at the tent.
Head over for happy-hour from 5-7 p.m. on Friday and 1-4 p.m. on Saturday for $10 DAS BOOTs with Moerlein beer fills. (FYI: Das boot actually translates to “the boat” in German, but who cares?)
The Überdrome is the after party location for the Hudepohl 14-K Brewery Run, opening immediately after the race.
Tips from the tent benefit the Cincinnati Parks Foundation.
5-10 p.m. Thursday; 4-11 p.m. Friday; 1-11 p.m. Saturday. Free admission. Schmidlapp Event Lawn, The Banks, facebook.com/moerleinlagerhouse.
