Chipotle is supporting a hometown soccer hero by giving out free entrees whenever the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) scores in the FIFA World Cup.
Starting July 21, fans will watch as Cincinnati’s own Rose Lavelle plays with USWNT on the international stage, hoping to bring home a third consecutive world title. Chipotle’s “Bowls for Goals” promotion gives fans the chance to score free Chipotle whenever Team USA scores.
Here’s how it works, according to a news release from Chipotle:
When the USWNT scores a go-ahead, tying, or lead-extending goal during the group stage of the international tournament, Chipotle and the USWNT Twitter account (@USWNT) will send out 2,500 free entrée codes. The first 2,500 fans to text the code to 888222 will receive a free digital entrée. The promo begins at the start of the game and ends when the game is over, or when all codes have been claimed, whichever happens first. There is a limit of one code per person.
Chipotle has partnered again with Lavelle, a Mount Notre Dame High School grad, on the “Rose Lavelle Bowl.” The bowl features chicken, brown rice, black beans, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, lettuce, guacamole and a side of chipotle-honey and vinaigrette dressing.
Chipotle said it will let participants know if they’ve scored a free burrito, bowl or any other entree by sending a text. Click here for a complete list of the FIFA World Cup matches.
