Humans and their furry, four-legged friends are invited to the eighth annual SPCA Doggie Dash “walk for kindness,” which helps support the SPCA’s mission to prevent cruelty to animals. And whether you have a dog for not, you can still join in the two-mile walk along the Ohio River (beginning at Sawyer Point) to help raise money, meet local celebrities, get a free T-shirt and maybe win a pair of Reds tickets.
And the money doesn’t only go to the dogs. The proceeds will benefit all the SPCA’s animals including cats, birds, rabbits and more.
Day-of registration starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday and costs $25. If you pre-register, it only costs $20 and you’ll have time to go out and collect pledges. Whoever has the most pledges will win the Reds tickets.
