A first-of-its-kind “sparkling beverage studio” where customers can craft an endless variety of unique beverages is set to open in Greater Cincinnati.
Jukebox will be located at 5859 Deerfield Blvd. in Mason’s Deerfield Towne Center and plans to open early this summer. The studio will offer customizable sparkling drinks, like sparkling waters, sodas and non-alcoholic seltzers, with a number of high-quality and house-made ingredients that can be mixed in to create over 100 million flavor combinations.
“We created Jukebox for people who really love carbonated beverages — people who want something more flavorful, more fun and more personalized than anything out there,” founder Jay Scherger said in a press release. “It’s about giving you a delicious boost that makes your day better.”
Scherger brings to Jukebox over 15 years of experience leading innovation, research and development and business groups at companies like Kroger and 84.51° and says he has a passion for creating next-level customer experiences. As a non-coffee drinker, Scherger says he was always envious of the modern coffee shop experience, so he wanted to create something similar (but better) for sparkling beverage lovers using his experience blending technology, food-related innovation and fun.
Jukebox’s menu is built around three core beverage categories. Sparklers Plus are sparkling water-based drinks with fresh ingredients, fruits and house-made syrups. Pop Culture drinks offer classic and next-generation sodas, like Cream Cokes, “dirty sodas” and boba-infused beverages. And Epic Sips feature a variety of fun flavors, like real fruit slushies, super sour blends ad cinnamon milk-inspired drinks.
Customers can also go full DIY and craft custom beverages in The Sip Studio, or explore the Ghost Tracks menu, which features secret experiments and limited-edition flavors. When it comes to mix-ins, customers can choose between “Fix My Life” — customizable amounts of things like energy, probiotics, protein, relaxation and more functional options formulated for cold, carbonated drinks — or “Welcome to Flavatown,” which combines flavors and textures with options like chewy and popping boba, fruit purees and fresh ingredients.
Apart from offering fun sparkling beverages, Jukebox also aims to offer a space to recharge and uplift visitors, with neon lights, greenery and music-infused vibes, says Scherger. The space will be designed for grab-and-go, but customers are welcome to hang out and sip. Think of the atmosphere as part lively cocktail bar — without the alcohol — and part flavor lab where you can craft beverages, experiment and compare your creations with those of your family and friends.
