Arnold's Bar and Grill

With roots dating back to the 1860s, Arnold's Bar and Grill — the city's oldest continuously operating tavern — has more than a few rumors swirling around about it, including that the building is haunted.

If you've been dying to find out, Arnold’s is opening its doors for the first time ever to a very limited number of people for three overnights to hunt down some specters with Cornerstone Paranormal. Cornerstone is one of the region’s most respected ghost hunting groups.

Arnold's is allowing just 14 guests to attend the four-hour investigations, held 11 p.m.-3 a.m. Oct. 16, 23 and 24. If you have your own ghost-hunting equipment, such as an EMF detector or EVP recorder, you are highly encouraged to bring it. If not, Cornerstone will have some equipment you can use.

There will be bottled water provided, but no alcoholic beverages will be served — after all, you're going to be walking around in the dark for four hours and the staff wants a safe and fun experience for everyone.

If you are looking to make an even bigger night out of it, you could always make a reservation for Oct. 30, Halloween Eve. Instead of just an investigation, you'll be able to sit down and enjoy a three-course meal prepared by chef Kayla Robison. The dinner begins at 9 p.m and you’ll be allowed two alcoholic drinks at dinner (no more). The investigation will follow after the meal and conclude at 2 a.m.

Tickets go on sale on Oct. 15 at eventbrite.com. The standard overnight investigation tickets are $40 per person. The special Halloween Eve dinner costs $90 per person and does not include gratuity.

If this sounds like a spooky good time to you, reserve your spot so you can settle once and for all: Is Arnold’s Bar and Grill truly haunted?
