This weekend the Cincinnati Cyclones are aiming for a world record and you can be part of it. On Nov. 4, the ECHL team is hosting “World Record Night” at the Heritage Bank Center, during which fans will attempt to break the world record for most people doing the “Macarena” at once.

In 1993 Los Del Rio released the song “Macarena,” which features an unmistakable chorus and a catchy dance. The Bayside Boys remix of the song swept the U.S. as it peaked on Billboard charts in 1995, after a 14-week stint on the top. The dance consists of hand motions and hip sways carried by a simple beat.

Maybe if Cyclones fans come together for the sake of a world record, whoever is in charge of “$2 Beer Night” will return it to its former $1 glory as a reward? We can only hope.

During “World Record Night” the Cincinnati Cyclones will face the Iowa Heartlanders. Saturday’s match follows Friday’s “Shoutout the Hate” night, which promotes inclusivity and pride and features a special Pride jersey. The “World Record Night” puck drops at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale here.
