UPDATE 7/28: A tweet from the NFL confirms the injury Joe Burrow sustained was a calf strain. Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor says Burrow will miss "several weeks." The original story is below.

Joe Burrow appears to be suffering from an unknown injury sustained during a July 27 practice, according to local media reports.

Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals' star quarterback, is seen in pictures and videos posted to X (formerly Twitter) clutching his calf on the ground before being removed from the field by a cart.
Coach Zac Taylor addressed press after the practice. He reportedly confirmed the injury was in Burrow's calf, but didn't provide any more information.
The injury falls one day short of the anniversary of Burrow's 2022 appendectomy.

The Bengals are only weeks away from their Aug. 11 preseason kickoff at Paycor Stadium against the Green Bay Packers.

This is a developing story.
