The Cincinnati Zoo has partnered with local Rookwood Pottery to release a special Fiona ornament just in time for the holidays (or at least just in time for those of us who put up decorations the day after Halloween...).
The new Fiona footprint ornament is a limited-edition custom disc featuring an actual mold of Fiona's footprint, taken on Feb. 13, 2017 when she was just three weeks old. At that time, Fiona — very premature and just 29 pounds at birth — was still under constant critical care and surveillance. The zoo says, "Her tiny footprint reminds us of where she started. Fiona is now healthy and thriving and will weigh 3,500 pounds as an adult, with a footprint the size of a large dinner plate."
The ornaments cost $49.99 and there are only 1,000 available per color. Color options are blue, purple heather or teal peacock. Order here.
