'Star Wars,' 'Star Trek' and Holst’s 'The Planets' Collide at Cincinnati Pops in Space at Music Hall

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with this celestial concert

The Pops adventure into the far reaches of the galaxy as they launch themselves into deep space with this weekend’s concert series.

With a blend of Classical fare and pop culture favorites, John Morris Russell will lead the orchestra through selections including the Galaxy Quest and Star Trek theme songs, selections from Gustav Holst’s The Planets and assorted John Williams creations for various Star Wars films while images from NASA screen overhead.

Help commemorate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with this celestial celebration.
