Frisch’s pumpkin pie is a holiday staple in the Queen City – so much so that Frisch’s Mainliner is hosting a pre-Thanksgiving pumpkin pie eating contest with none other than Joey Chestnut. If pumpkin’s not your thing, most locations also offer whole cherry, apple, pecan and coconut cream pie.

Happy Chicks Bakery

4035 Hamilton Ave., Northside
This vegan bakery will be offering pies like pumpkin with bourbon caramel and pecans, spiced apple, sweet potato with tomato jam and mixed berry and thyme for pickup on Wednesday, Nov. 23. All pies are $35, but you can request gluten-free for an extra $10.

Heydey

1527 Madison Road, East Walnut Hills
This former-pie–shop-turned-burger-restaurant, once known as O Pie O, was famous for its honey vinegar pie – a rich, fluffy custard pie, browned on top and finished with flaky sea salt. Fortunately when O Pie O rebranded and changed their concept to Heydey, they kept this pie on their Thanksgiving menu. You can order one on their new Heydey website for pickup on Tuesday, Nov. 22 or Wednesday, Nov. 23.

The BonBonerie

The BonBonerie is famous for its tortes and cakes, but for November, their bakery is also rolling out the classic pie flavors: pecan and pumpkin. They also offer an apple crumb pie in addition to their November cake menu, which features a pumpkin-flavored roulade and cheesecake, carrot cake, their signature opera cream cake and more.

Cherbourg Cyprus

Cherbourg Cyprus offers nut-free, gluten-free and dye-free treats. For Thanksgiving, they’re serving up pumpkin, Dutch apple and traditional apple pies. They’re also offering zucchini loaf and both chicken broth and vegetarian stuffings. You can place your order online for any time up to Wednesday, Nov. 23.

We love Graeter’s ice cream, no doubt, but they also have delicious pies! You can preorder your Thanksgiving treats on Monday, Nov. 21 for pickup on Wednesday, Nov. 23. They have classic pies like pumpkin, Dutch apple, traditional apple, pecan, chess and cherry, as well as desserts like pumpkin roll and butter schnecken. And for dinner, you can pick up a bag of their butter bit rolls.

Hyde’s Restaurant

Hyde’s Restaurant has hugely popular pies. For the holiday, you can choose between their big menu featuring traditional, cream and crumble pies. Flavors include banana, butterscotch, chocolate, peanut butter and coconut cream; apple, pumpkin, cherry and strawberry-rhubarb can come either traditional style or as crumble pies. Open for appointments only, Fork And Pie Bakery is a “from scratch bakery handcrafting baked goods using fresh, high-quality ingredients” in the heart of Newtown, according to its website. Their holiday menu features the traditional pumpkin and pecan pies, as well as brown sugar apple, mixed berry and strawberry rhubarb flavors. On the more savory side, they also offer a maple apple sausage pie, a selection of quiches and ham and cheddar hand pies. They also have a wide selection of other desserts to satisfy the taste buds of guests who just aren’t that into pie.

Findlay Market’s Happy Pies are done taking orders for Thanksgiving, but they will be at the market on Saturday, Nov. 19 with some pies for sale. If you want to pick up a pie for another upcoming holiday get-together, their selection of sweet pies include apple, key lime, blueberry lemon, pecan and pumpkin. They also make quiches if you crave something more savory.

3 Sweet Girls Cakery

If you want something other than pie for dessert on Thanksgiving, give 3 Sweet Girls Cakery a call at 513-984-1100. They have Thanksgiving-themed cupcakes, cookies and even treat charcuterie boxes available for preorder. Coppin’s will be selling its gourmet pies until Sunday, Nov. 20 for pickup on Wednesday, Nov. 23 after noon or anytime on Thanksgiving Day. Pies are $40 and you can choose between bourbon pecan, sweet potato with marshmallow meringue, pumpkin with candied walnuts, maple bourbon caramel apple or chocolate cream with an Oreo crust.
