Thankfully, he found his way to STAF! Shadow tests positive for the FIV virus, a non-life-threatening condition—he is a big, brawny, healthy cat with a glossy black coat and bright gold eyes. He loves a strong lap and makes an ideal office mate to reduce stress while you work. Shadow would make an awesome pet , probably best as your one-and-only companion."

"Meet Skywalker! She is a gorgeous fluffy-tailed kitty who is currently in a foster home working on her social skills while she waits for her forever home. Right now she is very timid around people, likes to hide, and will definitely make you work to earn her trust, but she is worth it. She absolutely LOVES playing with other cats and LOVES playing with toys and rolling around in catnip. She would do best in a quiet, patient home with other cat playmates. She even does OK around dogs- she just likes having a furry friend around. When she feels safe, she will purr & roll around when you gently pet she isn't the biggest fan of being held- but that's okay, we all have preferences. She is definitely a work in progress and she is what we call a phantom feline but she is absolutely precious. Sky is missing her left rear paw so she hops like a bunny but that doesn't stop her from zooming around, using the litterbox and using all of the scratching posts (she loves tall sisal ones and flat cardboard ones too). "Winston was found as a stray. Not sure how this sweet boy ended up out on his own, but he certainly enjoys the good life being inside. He has some battle scars and unfortunately contracted FIV from his days living on the streets. FIV is only spread through bite wounds. He can live a normal life and safely live with other kitties without spreading FIV through normal contact such as litter boxes or food bowls. He is a big boy weighing in at close to 15 pounds, but is not overweight. He is very affectionate , loves being petted and giving head butts. He has a laid back personality."

"The 3 new Babies Binx, Jinx and Igor went to the vets. Now they have finished their kitten vaccines. Now felv/fiv tested and all negative on both. Now spayed. To the heartless person who dumped the kittens today, you were not doing the right thing. We don't know how many kittens you dumped. We don't know if you dumped the Momma cat too. We found 3 kittens. I pray there were not more. And, I pray these 3 survive. One almost died from dehydration, the poor baby's 3rd eyelids were showing and it dropped over when I went to get it. I thought it was dead. These poor sweet Babies were too young to be taken away from their mother. They are probably 5 weeks old. We have had to syringe fluids into them several times now and were able to feed them moist kitten food. They also got a good dawn bath and flea combed.
