The lineup for this summer's Bunbury Music Festival will be announced on Jan. 31 at the Woodward Theater. The outdoor event returns to Cincinnati's riverfront (at Yeatman's Cove and Sawyer Point) May 31-June 2. The free announcement event at the Woodward begins at 6 p.m. and is open to the public.

Bunbury had its first-ever three-day sellout in 2018, based on a blockbuster lineup that included Jack White, Post Malone, The Chainsmokers, Young the Giant, Incubus and many others.

Blink-182 was scheduled to be a headliner at 2018's Bunbury, but canceled just days before the festival was to begin. At the time, it was announced that Blink-182 would returns to headline 2019's Bunbury, but the band currently has no events listed on its tour schedule. In September of last year, the group canceled further tour dates due to Travis Barker's medical issues. (At that time, the band backed out of last year's Riot Fest in Chicago, but — similar to the Bunbury announcement — the band said they were planning to headline 2019's Riot Fest as well.)

A fun pre-lineup-announcement tradition for Bunbury has been the litany of guesses that ensue after the fest releases "Hive Hints" about the performers. Fans place their guesses on social media and also on the message boards at Bunbury fan hub thebeesknees.boards.net. The guessers usually do a pretty good job of nailing down several of the artists scheduled to appear each year.

For 2019 so far, Bunbury has issued two Hive Hints, resulting in the consensus(ish) guesses on The Bees Knees boards that Machine Gun Kelly and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong would be performing at Bunbury this summer. Click here to play along. (UPDATE: More recent Hive Hint guesses have included Noname, Clutch, Jukebox the Ghost, Sublime with Rome and lovelytheband.)

Tickets for 2019's Bunbury Music Festival are on sale now here. At the Jan. 31 announcement event, fans will have their last chance to purchase tickets at the early-bird (or "early-bee") prices.

UPDATE: Blink-182 will indeed not be performing at this year's Bunbury. The band announced Jan. 28 that it was too busy working on their album to come to Cincinnati:
