Update: The show has once again been postponed until Jan. 14.
Lead singer Amy Lee said in a release: "We’ve done everything we could to try and make it work but with multiple positive Covid tests in our touring party it just wouldn’t be right to continue the show schedule as is. All the bands and crew have been so diligent with every precaution to keep this from happening but this virus is a real bitch! We are all vaccinated and nobody’s symptoms are severe, we are very grateful for that.
This tour has been an unforgettable experience that we are so proud of. From the production, to our fantastic crew, to Halestorm and Lilith Czar and Plush — and most of all, to you. Goth-meets-Classical rockers Evanescence were slated to play Cincinnati's Heritage Bank Center on Sunday, Dec. 12, with openers Halestrom, but the show was canceled.
The band said on social media the "tour has been hit by COVID."
Our tour has been hit by COVID and we are forced to postpone our show tonight in Cincinnati. We were able to reschedule the show for Monday, Dec. 20th, so hold onto your tickets! Be on the lookout for an email with additional information. Please be safe out there! ❤️ See you soon

Luckily for fans, the concert has been quickly rescheduled for Dec. 20 and the venue says "all previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date." Details for the new date are available at heritagebankcenter.com.
Evanescence released new album The Bitter Truth in March of this year, their first album of original music since 2011's self-titled LP. (An album called Synthesis was released in 2017, but featured rearrangements of existing songs.)
Band co-founder and lead singer Amy Lee told NPR about why it took them so long to release the new record — part of which inspired the song "Use My Voice."
"I've been through quite a few legal battles and more behind the scenes with this band just having to fight for my right to use my own voice and not try to represent something that's going to benefit somebody else. My journey and my experience with this has been so layered and had so many chapters at this point. One thing that's really been consistent is having to fight constantly... [Y]es, I'm a girl standing up front with all these guys behind me. Typically, that doesn't mean they're the ones with the brains and I'm just the ones singing. I made it, like I fought the fight and I won the fight. But the fight was exhausting. It's, if I'm being honest, part of the reason that we haven't released an album every couple of years. But the feeling that it is now to have that burden lifted is incredible because I really have so much more energy to focus on the music itself."View the video for the single below:
