The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens has transformed into a sea of beautiful colors as their annual Zoo Blooms tulips have reached their blooming peak.
Each April, about 100,000 tulips pop out of the Cincinnati Zoo's grounds to dazzle visitors and animals alike. Gardening enthusiasts from all over the region come to Zoo Blooms to see what's new and appreciate the zoo's botanical garden.
"We take great pride in creating a stunning and memorable experience for our guests, and the tulip display is just one example of the many ways we do that," said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard in a press release. “I highly recommend coming to see the gardens this week. This Thursday night will be a great opportunity for visitors to enjoy the flowers AND see a FREE concert!”
In addition to Zoo Blooms, the zoo also holds its free Tunes & Blooms concert series every Thursday in April. Free entry to the zoo for the concerts begins at 5 p.m. and the music starts at 6 p.m. You can see the weekly lineups here.
