"Dear World"

A struggle between greed and idealism fuels the plot of “Dear World,” a musical by Jerry Herman (“Hello, Dolly,” “La Cage aux Folles”). The show is based on the novel The Madwoman of Chaillot by Jean Giraudoux. In it, Countess Aurelia, engages her colorful friends in a scheme to stop businessmen from drilling for oil in the Parisian neighborhood of Chaillot. Enjoy the quirky characters and fiendish businessmen as we witness the forces of innocence, love and poetry pitted against greed, materialism, and science. Directed by Dennis Murphy, music-directed by Linda Abbott, and produced by Valeria Amburgey.
